   I was fortunate enough to have been able to watch the entire thing on Cspan.org. It was clear from the beginning to me the Democrats and the President we’re not really there to budge on any of the dividing issues.

   And from his tone and words at the end of the speech it’s clear they intend to pass this thing come hell or high water. I’m sure by now or even before the summit the President has been discussing with Nancy Pelosi about trying to get enough votes in the House to approve the Senate’s version of Health Care Reform.

   This in itself is not going to be easy in an election year. She was barely able to pass it with a slim majority the first time around and given this was before Brown won in Massachusetts the odds are stacked against her being successful.

   The “blue dog” Democrats don’t like the Senate version, the far left liberals or progressives don’t like it because it does not contain their “baby” the Public Option.

   Further more, Mr. President and Congressmen and women if you intend to go against the majority of people in this country and ram this down our throats even if it means bigger losses in November it’s a sad sad day for this Democracy.

   So I say to all of them, if you ram this down our throats we’ll make sure we ram it up your A** in November and in 2012. So buy a lot of suppositories, your going to need them.

   Very well said, the progressives and far left liberals will never vote for the Senate bill without the public option, it’s something they have wanted for 40 years. So good luck Nancy, and start planning your vacation with Harry and the rest of those boneheads, you’ll all be out of a job in November!

   As a progressive, without the public option forget it. We won’t settle for anything less.

   As an Independent my view may be different then of yours, but the “Reconciliation” option is in my mind was never meant to be used on something of such significance. I’ve even read where many of the liberals, and progressives them self have been verbally apposed to it. In fact, I’ve even seen clips which show “Senator” Obama denouncing it. Now, I fully understand why “he” would at least be considering it, his entire presidency rests on the passage of something, someway. But I still think, he should scrap the bill in it’s present form or forms and begin again.

   Now he may not get a bill passed the way the progressives or liberals want, or the Republicans for that matter but he would be able to say he’s done something of significance.

   Because if you’ve seen the Saturday Night Live clip, he’s really done nothing to this point. The Liberals can not be happy, the Progressives will never be happy, the Republicans are just laughing and us Independents just don’t trust him to do anything anymore.

   This might all be moot point, since I am betting Nancy Pelosi will never get the votes in the House, she’s asking them to commit political suicide. And quite frankly that’s a big sacrifice to ask or anyone and personally I would not loose my job to save “face” for my boss.

   Anyway, that’s my take.

   We’ll have to wait and see, Nancy sure seems hell bent on twisting arms!
